Subject: SSB-5145 PASSES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

WAMBE,
With GREAT pleasure this is to announce SSB-5145 for Mandatory Boater Safety

Education passed the House 68 Yea and 30 Nay. Below are the roll call
votes.
Thank you everybody for your hard work and legislative support! If you are
a
constituent or acquaintance of Representative Sullivan and Rep. Buck, please

be sure to send them Thanks. They both stood up on the Floor and spoke in
favor of the Bill, and Sullivan struck down the amendment that would have
gutted
the bill. Rep. Buck mentioned the Marine Trades and Sportsmen support which

is important to him, and us.

Our next step is to get Senate concurrence on the minor amendment to exempt
commercial fishermen and professional operators from carrying the Card, but
Sen. Jacobsen has indicated the amendment should be no problem.

This was our biggest victory yet and hopefully it will all be downhill to
the
Governors desk.
Thanks again & roll call vote below.
Cheers, David
