Ahoy D16 VEs,

USCGAUX Division 3 has graciously invited all D16 VEs to attend their VE
Workshop on May 5 at the Des Moines Yacht Club. I personally think we all
need a refresher. There are a number of things that have changed or have had
new interpretations by the CG and a refresher is always a good idea when we
haven't done this ourselves for a couple years. I recommend that all of you
who can make it attend this cooperative workshop. See the instructions in
the note from Craig Brown below.

Bob,

I would like to invite the USPS to attend this VE workshop we're holding.
Below I've included the e-mail I sent out to USCGAux. I hope to have some
USPS members, with your red VE shirts on (VE shirt is not required. Uniforms
are not required), attending the workshop to show the USPS & USCGAux can and
do work together.

Division 3 is hosting a VE/PV workshop for 2005 at the Des Moines Yacht Club
(on the 2nd floor) on 05MAY05 at 1900-2100. I encourage ALL members in the
Northern Area that need/want to complete the workshop to attend.

The VE/PV workshop is REQUIRED to be completed by 31MAY for 2005 to retain
Vessel Examiner and/or Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program ("old"
MDV) qualifications.

The Des Moines Yacht Club is at:
22737 Marine View Drive
Des Moines, WA 98198

NOTE - You have to enter the YC from off of "South 227th Street". Therefore,
I recommend using the map at web link:
