[D21] Passing of P/C William R. Barrow, SN

 Some of you may be getting this twice, just trying to cover the bases...Billie

P/C William R. Barrow, SN passed away Saturday, 13 October.  Bill was one of the most energetic, enthusiastic, vibrant, aggressive supporters that Galveston Bay Power Squadron has had.  He and wife Mary joined the organization in 1985 and they jumped into action promoting safe boating.

 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday the 21st of October in the ball room of Houston Yacht Club at 1:00pm.  Following the service there will be a short parade of boats in the Bay.  This will be followed by a bar-b-que, dock side of pier 12, by the triangle where the Ciao is berthed.  Friends are invited to attend the dock party, the family will be furnishing the meats and you are welcome to bring a side dish and your drink of choice.

 

For those of you that have known Bill for any length of time, "bar-b-que" was his middle name.  This is a fitting tribute that the family has planned.
