The following is the procedures for the Flint River Trophy Award, that
judges squadron websites. The date we start the review is July 31,
2003. The award will be presented at the D22 Fall Conference. Good
Luck to all.
Purpose of Award
To stimulate interest in and increase the use of web sites to more
effectively promote the individual squadrons in D22 and to provide an
additional means of providing a platform to improve public awareness of
USPS.
Entry
In accordance with D/22 Bylaws, the squadron computer services
representatives at the Spring 2003 Conference established the following
procedure for the 2003 competition.
* A squadron's entry must be a web page designed, maintained and
currently used by the Squadron.
* The entry will be judged according to the criteria distributed
to each squadron's computer service chairman and attached hereto.
* Each entry should be found on the USPS Web Site under "Locate
a Squadron nearest you", by searching the major search engines Yahoo,
MSN or Lycos, or by an E-mail addressed to the D/22 Computer Services
Chairman giving the web site address.
* All entries will be those found on 31 July by the D/22 CSC
Chairman by the above methods.
Trophy Award
Awards will be made to the first, second and third place winners at the
District 22 Fall Conference in the year 2003. The first place winner
will be given possession of the Flint River Trophy for one year. The
winning Squadron's name will be inscribed on the trophy and a first
place certificate awarded. Second and third place winners will receive
certificates.
The basis for the award will be total points scored on the criteria
attached and in the case of a tie the judges listed in the By-Laws will
be asked to reevaluate the tied entries.
Judging
The first tier of judging shall be done by two members of the D/22 IT
Committee and Three Squadron Computer Services Chairmen. The top six
entries will be forwarded to the judging committee as described in the
D/22 Bylaws for judging by 15 August. If six or less entries are found,
all entries will be forward to the D/22 judges.
Section One
On each of the following award two points if the item is present or zero
points if the item is not present. These may be found anywhere on the
website unless stated otherwise.
