After our preparations were complete, and we had evacuated the coastal =
area along Terra Ceia Bay, just south of Tampa Bay. Like most, we =
waited to see where Charley would come ashore. We anticipated losing =
our house and our boat as the weather experts predicted landfall in our =
area. We were spared. We sustained no damage and the effects of =
hurricane Charley turned out to be mild compared to many storms we had =
weathered here before.

Our hearts go out to those not so fortunate!

We would appreciate hearing from members in the Charlotte Harbor area =
and we wonder if there was a storm surge as predicted. There has been =
little mentioned in the news about coastal damage and hope those living =
in the area, particularly boaters, will share the knowledge they've =
gained on what worked, and what didn't, regarding the preparations that =
were made for their boats.
