I evacuated at 7:00A yesterday (Monday) and drove down to SWYC (where I am
sitting as I send this message). Brockway and Barbara were kind enough to
keep me and the Mones's entertained at their home through the afternoon and
Bill Bridge put me up at his house for the night (and again tonight). Not
yet allowed to re-enter RB, which is described as a war zone with over 300
homes lost, but am hoping for the best after a report from a neighbor who
got back in briefly at 4:00P yesterday and believes that our street was
spared. Hoping to get a look at the area some time tomorrow but things
remain fluid with high and shifting winds still swirling in the RB area.
Mones's are staying with the Clarks and the Fontaines, also evacuated,
staying on their boat.

Best to you all, Bob

Hello all:

Yesterday Pauline and I took a plan to Chicago via Phoenix . When we got to
Phoenix there was a message from my daughter Shari telling me that Cardiff
was on volunteer evacuation, so I caught a plan back to San Diego while
Pauline when onto Chicago.

So far we have had communities both North and South having more pressing
issues with the firer then we have had!

I hope that all of you are OK, and have not had to evacuate your homes.
