was in a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) internal
newsletter and sends you to a video clip from NBC's
"Today" show of 8 March, 2005.

SURVIVING A CRASH?  THE CHANCES ARE GOOD:

Earlier this week, the NBC's "Today Show" ran a segment on
crash survivability with a major focus on the FAA's Civil
Aeromedical Institute (CAMI) in Oklahoma City.  Really a
good story, highlighting the great work the FAA has done
over the years, not just at CAMI, but at the Tech Center
and other parts of the agency as well.

Case in point:  the recent fiery crash at Teterboro airport
in New Jersey, in which no one died.  Another example was
the Little Rock accident a couple of years ago in which 11
died but 156 survived.  Twenty-five to thirty years ago,
they would have all died.  The NBC segment is a well-
eserved tribute to so many of our folks who never get a
chance to share the limelight.  Check it out at:
