Update from the National Meetings Committee on NY GB Room Rates and Availability
We have exceeded our room night commitment (block) with the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The good news is that an addendum has been made to contract for additional rooms at the $169 room rate. The bad news is that these additional rooms may not last long. If you are planning to stay at the Grand Hyatt, it is suggested that you make your reservations a.s.a.p.

Hi everyone -
This is just an FYI based on information that I received today containing good news and bad news. The good news is that we have apparently already met or are very close to meeting our room night commitment at the NY Grand Hyatt, i.e. there seems to be a lot of interest among USPS members to attend the NY GovBd meeting. The bad news is that Howard has been informed that the hotel may not honor the $169/night USPS room rate much longer, especially once the USPS room night commitment has been exceeded.
I would ask that you communicate with your squadron commanders or anyone who may be attending to make everyone aware that they need to make their room reservations at the Grand Hyatt “ASAP” if they plan to attend this meeting. Also, any assistance that those whom you communicate with can provide re sharing this information with other USPS members would be appreciated.
