To all members of the National Membership Committee
As Team Leader for MICA (Member Involvement Committee Award) for the
past few years, I have seen a severe drop in the number of squadron
submissions.
Background information:
* The MICA concept is an extremely valuable program for our
squadrons, one we should not let falter. Indeed many squadrons
have been revitalized, and several squadrons have voted to remain
in existence instead of voting to disband. The primary focus of
the program is Membership Involvement and Retention. Though MICA
we have been able to share great ideas and squadron successes with
other squadrons. However, we need to increase the momentum.
* The MICA acronym reflects the former committee name. Is this the
problem?
Questions:
* To revitalize the MICA program, is it time for a name change?
(Yes No) If YES, please e-mail me (pbc@buffalo.edu)
your suggestions by 15 August 2004 for a new name along with an
appropriate acronym. I will tabulate the results and have a report
ready for the Jacksonville GB.
* If you wish to retain the MICA acronym - please suggest how we can
improve the number of submissions from our squadrons?
The current 2005 MICA entry form can be viewed at

Your prompt response to this request is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
