Ahoy,
Membership reports have been update thur 31 October 2004.
YTD Districts 8, 10, 19, 22, 25, 26, 28, 32, 33 are growing. Why? Can we
learn the answer to this question from our reps? Can we then share the ideas with
the other district via our reps?
Recruiting is way off. Last year in the month of October we recruited 511 new
members. This October was down at 349 or a 32% decline. Ouch! Why?
You might want to encourage squadrons to schedule as many classes as they
possibly can, and to look at new and additional locations for classes.
Membership committees need to become more involved in the scheduling of
public courses. These can be "Chart Smart" "Skipper Saver" "Intro to GPS" as well
as our usual offerings of public boating courses.
Make it happen, if education is what we are about then make it so Number One.
