Well, I'm in Jacksonville & life is good! Come on down! Don't buy that Ivan comment, though. If it comes, it should hit on Saturday.This would be a good viewing station.

Monday, 6 Sept 2004 - Update
1100 Monday Report (R/C Howard Yoas). The Jacksonville Airport is now open. It is still recommended that attendees check with their carriers to make sure that their flight has not been canceled. At this time, there is light rain with some wind and heavy clouds. The prediction is for conditions to improve. There is no visible damage from the vantage point of the Adam’s Mark Hotel.
While gas is available in Jacksonville, it is recommended that members who are driving fill up their gas tanks prior to crossing the Florida state line. There is currently a gas problem south of Jacksonville, but tanker trucks are starting to arrive and haul fuel south.
The latest information on Ivan, is that it should not arrive until after our meeting.
