Greetings and Ahoy,
Penny and I arrived back in Seattle just in time for snow and freezing
weather. Oh to be back in Orlando ;-)
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all the members of the committee who attended the
annual meeting and all the membership committee events. Table assignments,
EXPO, closed meeting, orientation meetings, and the reception.
We had 50 members sign in during the closed meeting. WoW, not that's a
meeting. Minutes were taken and will be sent out soon. Minutes will be sent via the
email list.
We had many, many folks visit us at the membership tables. Forms and free
coloring books and more handed out. Sales of support manuals were very good. This
is really fun. You get to talk with your fellow members about membership
issues and help share ideas back and forth.
1st Timers table was swamped much of the time. There was a very, very good
response of first time attendees at this meeting. Both orientation meetings,
Thursday and Friday were very well attended. This was really fun.
Our EXPO really looked great. The posters, power points, and all really
attracted the folks to see what was going on. "Membership Educates" is a great
theme and will carry us through in 05. We had a special guest join us, Cdr
Gunther, N of Brookly PS. He joined USPS in 1938 and still very active boating today.
The Saturday meetings were well attended with over 900 members signing in.
Hope we have a great turn out for Charlotte (June 1st ), see you there.
A special thanks to our Stf/Cs for all their help in scheduling,
corrdinating, and executing our plan, it was a terrific meeting. Special thanks too to
Donna Dunlap, Carloyn Knaggs, and Mary Pierpont for their special handing of
their areas of activities. You all represented the committee very well in deed,
THANK YOU one and ALL,
Bruce Troth, AP
