Ahoy,
Feb 05 is in the can as they say in Hollywood. Check out them out when you
can, print and share them with your districts and squadrons.
Based on the Bowspirt Report, boating class regristration is still way down
vs last year. Despite this, squadrons recruited 347 new members VS only 257
last Februrary. Nice increase. Squadrons are working hard, let's keep them pumped
up ;-)
Total gains YTD are 6884 VS 6112 last year. Progress is being made however we
still have a ways to go to get off the bottom of our membership sea, if you
know what I mean.
Squadrons are cutting their losses and increasing their gains, let's keep
things aa-happen ;-)
March, April and May are huge months for spring classes and recruiting. Last
quarter of the membership year. Last year squadrons recruited 2181 new membes.
So you see it's important we keep the folks pumped up. A lot to work is yet
to be done.
Right behind this important last quarter for recruiting is retention. June,
July, and Aug are key months to keeping our members. Contact is all important.
Roberta is working on a "Retaining members" campaign and needs a catchy
saying. If you have an idea please send it to her.
Growing Districts YTD,
9, 10, 21, 25, 26, 30, 32, 33, and 90.
District within 3 percentage points of growing,
1, 8, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 23, 27, and 28.
As this shows a lot of districts are close.
Family membership is nearly 14 percent of our membership. This includes
apprentices and sea scouts.
