Operation of the Squadron involves you and some "standard practices." Among
the latter are the Squadron bylaws and Policies and Procedures (P&P) that we
should all be at least familiar with or have ready access to. The Phoenix
Sail & Power Squadron website has both the Bylaws and P&P available online for
direct viewing or download.

The link to them is not all that obvious in order to keep them semiprivate.
You need to go to the Site Map page and look for the link "Squadron
Operations." I will save you the time, just go to:

_http://www.usps.org/localusps/phoenix/sqdops.htm_
(http://www.usps.org/localusps/phoenix/sqdops.htm)

That page will give you links to the documents as well as the squadron
roster. The bylaws and P&P are presented in three ways, online viewing, MS Word
format for those that wish to suggest any changes, and Acrobat format if you
wish to just download and print.

The squadron roster is a fully private website that requires you to be a
USPS member and a member of the Phoenix SPS to access (the login/password of
certificate number and zip code are required).

A feature of the roster is that you may update your information directly for
the roster by clicking on your blue underlined name and editing the data in
the text boxes. When your editing is done just click on the Update button
at the bottom of the page. The change/s will be made to the online roster
immediately and I will receive a notice to update the squadron database. Once I
have updated the database and submitted it to HQ (usually within and hour or
so, but please don't time me) your latest information will be available for
all levels of the USPS organization that need it.

Question: Can I change information for other members of my family? Answer:
Yes. Go to the top of the roster page and click on the "Logon as a different
member" followed by the selection of the individual from the list and typing
in their corresponding certificate number. Then use the procedure to edit
as above.

So please keep it updated so that we can keep in touch.
