Fellow Phoenix SPS members,
I have become totally swamped with website and other activities and I sure
would appreciate some help. You do not need to do any website coding, just
help put together a number of photo stories for recent squadron activities.
The task is to collect some photos, create photo captions, and write general
descriptions of "who, what, when and where" for the events.
Of urgent need are the following squadron activities:
Bartlett Lake Turkey Roast - November 18, 2006
Cholla Bay Fish Fry - November 10-12, 2006
Christmas Party - December 9, 2006
Lake Pleasant Snow/Birthday Cruise - January 20, 2007
Squadron Change of Watch - February 3, 2007
You can either send me the "story" in text format or as part of a Word
document. There are hundreds of photos to select from so use the ones that best
fit the story they go with. If you were there you know better than I do how
to capture the highlights of the activities.
If you insert photos into a Word document, please send me the originals. I
have to massage photos to fit the website and there is no need for both of us
to do that. Keep the number of photos for each story to no more that 16,
but please include at least 4. It takes some viewers a very long time to
download them if there are more than that. "A picture is worth a thousand words,
but photos alone cannot tell the whole story".
So if you feel inclined to adventure into the realm of literary
communications, here is a chance to do your stuff and we will ALL be the better for it.
I will credit you with your efforts unless you wish to remain anonymous. The
merit mark gods will look kindly on your efforts.
If you can take on one or more of those activities above let me know so I
can inform others and avoid duplicate efforts. The website is a TEAM effort
and not a one man show.
