[Phoenix] Boating Safety Celebration

I am looking for volunteers to come out on 19 May  between 7:30-12:00 to hand out bags of information to all boaters as they enter the gate at Lake Pleasant Regional Park. We will be at both entrances, the main gate and the North ramp gate (both on the county side of the lake - NOT the marina side). You just have to wear a squadron shirt and shorts or pants and entry to the lake will be free if you tell them you are with the Boating Celebration. Other volunteers needed are Vessel inspectors, and if anyone wants to model a life jacket, that would be welcome too. Any children as models would be most appreciated. You do not have to stay the whole time, but let me know how much time you can give me so we have ample coverage for the 8-12 event. Remember, this will help you qualify for a merit mark! We are a volunteer organization - Please help out where you can.

I am also in need of someone who has a little extra time to visit Cabella's to see if we can get a nice gift donated for a raffle. I just have not been able to get there! They will only donate to nonprofit organizations, so none of our other partners in this event qualify on that note. 

Our banner is in need of a transporter this week also. Terry Gray has the stand in his garage and would love for it to be moved out of there! We need to take it to the lake entrance station for placement. If anyone could help with that it would also be appreciated. 

This is our 4th annual event and we once again will have the Coast Guard Chopper from San Diego. Come out and see the water rescue if nothing else! This event keeps evolving. You have to attend to see where it goes each year! Please join us.
