Good luck Ruth. We've been fighting that battle for years. In fact,
that's why it was moved to Tempe Town Lake back in the late 90s and
into 2000-2002. The media did show up there--as long as it was a slow
news day. In fact, Rick D'Amico and Dave Munsey actually hosted the
event for us a couple of years. But it was always too hot for much
public support, and it just never took off. You guys have the best
events happening now--even better then the best one we had in the mid
ninety's out at Saguaro.
I think you're all headed in the right direction. Just keep having a
good event in the same place at the same time every year. It will
take years, but it will continue to grow a bit more each year.
