Everyone,
This can have a great impact on the boating community. I recommend that you
weigh in on this proposed law. The squadron cannot lobby, but the members
as citizens can. Make your viewpoint be heard by contacting the
Transportation Board.

Subject: Status of SB1080 (OUI Bill)
To:
All,
The State's OUI Bill that will basically align the penalties of operating a
boat while you're under the influence (SB1080) the same as a car will not be
on the Transportation Committee's agenda for Tuesday (2/19) for certain. It
"may" be heard again on Tuesday (2/26). Given some of the concerns
expressed by the opponents of the Bill, please contact the Transportation
Committee members directly to relay your position and your support of this
legislation. Your help and support to get this legislation passed is needed
now! As part of the boating community, the life you save may be your own!
The Transportation Committee Members are:
Senator Ron Gould, Chairman (602) 926-4138
rgould at azleg.gov
Senator Gorman, Vice-Chairman (602) 926-5284

I've attached a link to a news article on the Bill for your review:

Let's go—if we work together, we can get this bill passed but the
legislators need to hear from YOU now!
Thanks,
Ed
