On Monday, February 4, 2008 David Allocco will present Using VHF and VHF/DSC Marine Radio.  This Seminar will be held at the community center located at 2727 E. University Drive, Tempe from 6:30 PM until 8:30.  The cost for members is $30.00 and it includes the Student Notebook, a waterproof reference guide, and the DSC Radio simulation program on a CD.  You've heard about Digital Selective Calling (DSC).  All of the new radios include it.  Now you can learn about how to use it and why it's a great safety feature for your boat. On Monday, February 18, 2008 Art Ashton will present On Board Weather Forecasting.  This Seminar will be held at System-Aire located at 7136 W. Frier Drive, Glendale.  The cost for members is $30.00 and it includes the Student Notebook and a water proof reference guide.  This Seminar explains how your own senses can help you determine what conditions you will encounter where you are. The seminar explains weather systems, how to understand clouds and their changes, using changing wind direction, temperature, and pressure to hone in on emerging weather fronts.
