[Povertybay] December Dinner Meeting

Hello to all Squadron Members,

 

I want to advise you of a decision made by your Eboard at its regular
November meeting.

 

After reviewing our financials, the Eboard recognized how successful our
fund raising activities have been this year.  Record sales of the
Entertainment Books plus outstanding results at the Nautical Auction and
Dessert Auction were realized.  As you may be aware, these fund raising
projects support our education department, pay for our rendezvous expenses
and numerous other costs during the year.  The net results this year, thanks
to your contributions and generosity, far exceeded our budget.

 

Your Eboard has decided to make a $500 donation to Childhaven of Burien from
our existing funds and we will not be asking for you to contribute to
Childhaven at the December dinner meeting.

 

I want to be sure everyone understands this is a one time decision by the
Eboard and is not meant to set precedence for future years.  Again, we feel
we can take this action this year due to your contributions, efforts and
generosity.

 

Please join us at Zenith Place on December 6 to enjoy a special meal,
fellowship with members and a nice Christmas program.
