Ahoy Pirates,

 

Warning, this situation appears to have all the potential to cause
catastrophic failures in some engines.

 

Jay Storm contacted me today to make me aware of a change in lubricating
oils that could be a significant disaster in the making. This could be a
particular problem for people with older gasoline engines with flat valve
lifters/cam followers. It appears that environmental concerns have caused
the removal of a significant oil additive that is particularly critical in
