Below is a warning about upcoming events in Seattle July 18th
thru the
20th. 

"Seattle PD has contacted us and informed that gang activity in
the
Seattle downtown corridor has escalated in recent weeks. The
gangs have
been coming out at night and conducting criminal activity.

This weekend July 18, 19 and 20th is the Bite Of Seattle held at
the
city center (Space needle area) lower Queen Anne. There are huge
expectations that the gangs will be present during the late
afternoon
and evening times. Traditionally the gang members from different
gangs
and sets have arrived wearing their colors and posturing and
eventually
ends up in assaults and shootings.  There will be a large law
enforcement presence during this event, law enforcement have been
challenged by the gang members in the past and is expected this
coming
weekend. 

On July 26 is the Torchlight Parade historically there has been
gang
activity during the evening hours of the parade, anything from
assaults,
armed and strong armed robberies to shootings. Local Law
Enforcement is
expecting a high concentration of gangs attending the parade
again
posturing which ends up in the assaults and shooting(s). There
will be a
high Law Enforcement visibility from local law enforcement.

It is advisable that U.S. Coast Guard members not wear their
uniforms
except in an official capacity. That U.S. Coast guard members who
plan
on attending either function that they go with friends and avoid
any
confrontations and walk away if at all possible."
