Hi Everyone,
I have just finished putting in all the email addresses for the District =
Cdr, Exec and PROs for all districts (that have an email address) into =
the PRO-L@usps.org list. (I do not have all the squadron PROs email =
addresses so I am asking the DPRO to motivate their squadrons and send =
emails to them). This list is open to any USPS member that is =
interested in promoting our courses and our organization. The list has =
been around for awhile but it has not been used. As I mentioned to the =
committee in Pittsburgh, it is up to us to motivate the district and =
squadron PROs, to communicate with them and to listen to their ideas and =
needs. I started putting this list together (again) this past week and =
I have already had quite a few good responses.
We need you! We need you to prompt questions, take on tasks that they =
suggest (but include them and let them help get it done), include them =
in discussions, etc. If you think of a bright idea, share it-get them to =
share their stories. Hopefully, Mark Gretske will be following and =
documenting the ideas for the next Currents. Maybe Rosemarie can put =
together a website that adds the ideas to create sort of a data bank of =
ideas that continually grows. Anyone can pull up the PR/Mktg website =
and get ideas used today, in the past, etc.
I am pushing this as many of us see a great need to get the masses =
talking-good or bad-about PR. However, I don't want to be doing all the =
talking. Then it will appear as my list instead of OUR list.
I would like to see at least one committee member send an email out each =
week. The email can be a new subject, an old one, maybe something you =
saw in your travels, or maybe something you didn't see, something you =
are contemplating, etc, but please start the positive, motivating and =
constructive chatter. =20
If the chatter becomes unconstructive, please leave that up to me. I =
will also handle the tech side of the email list.
With a little coordination and keeping the list active, we should be =
able to get the communication channels open again. It takes a TEAM.
So, how can you help right now? Go to www.usps.org/mailman/listinfo, =
click on PRO-L and follow the instructions to subscribe to the list. If =
you are already subscribed to the list, you have been receiving an email =
every month from MAILMAN that shows your password for each USPS email =
list you are subscribed. I sent out a Welcome message earlier this week =
to PRO-L and if you received that message, then you are a member =
already.
Everybody ready? Let's roll!
Kristi Anderson (THANKS!!!!!)
