The original post was a squadron trying to follow National's lead on simpler dues structure. In the quotes below the motion to change dues structure for National. It is my understanding that we did not change the classifications of membership but just how National collects dues.

Examples (national dues only)

Under the old;

Family of 4, Active Member $31.80, spouse as Additional Active $15.90, 18 year old as a second Additional Active $15.90 and a 16 year old as a Family member $7.95, total National dues $71.55

Under the new simplified method;

Family of 4, Active Member $31.80, the others $15.90, total National Dues $47.70

IF I were that squadron, I would insert the same verbiage National used.

"R/C Horowitz proposed the following motion:

That the dues amount for primary active, sustaining and life members with attached family or additional active members be set to the amount of the same category without attached members plus 50 percent of the current dues amount for regular active members. Further, that the dues amount for family and additional active members be set to zero.

            The Governing Board ADOPTED the motion. (2006-GB-22)"
