[Psml] Skype

I use Skype daily for work. I have the free version and I bought a
$16 headset with a small bendable microphone attached (I look like a
telephone operator) from Walmart.
If you call someone else on Skype, it is free. Thus I have no
expenses. However, I could buy a version for about $32 a year or so
and can call landlines (the phone in your house or office) without any
long distance charges or fees.
Gene mentions his big district, but here in mid-East coast of Florida,
it is long distance 15 miles south and 20 miles south. Thus, we have
other squadrons within the state that we SHOULD BE communicating
with. Point is, Skype is great for that.
Some new laptops come with microphones built in if you prefer to do
the talking. I mainly use it like IM (Instant messaging) and
communicate with everyone in the same building, our employees and
customers all over the world.
It is no big deal to setup and as I said, you can do the free service
as well.
I am assuming Gene's $100 cost is for come conference calling
equipment or something. Maybe even a web cam, which Skype supports
all.
I hope this helps!
