Lance,
I took your advise and connected our squadron's laptop to the internet and downloaded Flash Player directly from the Adobe site. Still have the same problem. Wonder if anyone else has this problem? If so please let me know the outcome.

Paul -
What stops you from using the squadron computer's built-in modem to access any member's dial-up ISP (w/user-id and pwd) and then going to the Adobe site to download the free Flash player?

Following is from the USPS Educational Web site:
Seamanship 2007 CD Requirement
In order to view the imbedded animation on the Seamanship 2007 CD, you must have the free Flash player installed on your computer. If you do not have that software, you need to download and install the free Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash player. The CD is not defective if it opens and on the animation slides it simply forwards to the next slide or brings up an error message. It just has not found the needed software. Download and install the Flash player and the CD should work fine. (14 Apr 07)
I think what Hq USPS fails to understand is that not all squadrons that have a computer elected not to connect to the Internet, and that's what needed to download Flash Player. Flash player is automatically loaded into ones computer while on line and can't be downloaded to a disc.
Proper testing of seamanship prior to distribution might have found this problem many are having.
For those who are following the problem I'm having with Seamanship, I've reloaded Power Point and I still can't run animation.
