The following is excerpted from a message describing
a stop and inspection by a USCG team.  It would
behoove all of us to have the appropriate placard
referred to in the quote below.

"In fact the only rule violation the USCG could find was
that we lacked a placard over the sink stating that it was
a violation to dump food garbage overboard.  The CPO
decided to overlook that major infraction and issued a
certificate that we had passed inspection."

I don't know if this has to be "over the sink" and I
believe this may be referring to the placard which
contains info as to what is prohibited from discharge
at different distances from shore.
