P/D/C Hamilton,
Cape Fear Power Squadron is starting an Engine Maintenance Class this week.
We, too, could not find any presentation material for this course. We have
several instructors for this course, each teaching different chapters. The
instructors are preparing their own PowerPoint presentations.
These are not official USPS presentations, nor are they professionally
produced, but at least you will have something to start with. If you are
interested, I will send you each chapter's slides as they are presented in
the weeks ahead.

Squadron Members,
Greetings from the currently frozen lands of District 10 (Minnesota and
Wisconsin)! I need your help.
One of our squadrons has instructors for the Engine Maintenance courses that
are
knowledgeable about engines and mechanical systems but who are frustrated
because they?ve not been able to locate any electronic materials (PowerPoint
presentations) with which to teach their classes.
I've scoured the National Educational website looking for current Engine
Maintenance materials but cannot find anything other than the
student/instructor manuals and associated addenda (I'm either looking in the
wrong places or what I?m looking for just isn't there).
Before re-inventing the propeller (nautical version of re-inventing the
wheel),
I thought I'd post this message. Surely there must either be an official
PowerPoint presentation or two covering Engine Maintenance that we've
somehow
missed, or, there must be some enterprising member out there in the greater
organization that has created comprehensive PowerPoint materials for
teaching
Engine Maintenance.
Identifying materials that exist would be appreciated. Providing
information
that allows me to obtain existing materials would put you high on my list of
people to meet and thank at the upcoming Annual Meeting.
What say you?
Regards,
P/D/C Jeff C. Hamilton, AP
