[Psml] Electronic textbooks

Hi Tom,

That's an interesting idea. However, I believe that most of our students
still prefer printed books which they can write in. To print them from a CD
or DVD can be somewhat costly. We are moving toward more content on CDs and
DVDs. When we have surveyed the membership, the general feedback is to move
in that direction cautiously.

We appreciate the idea and certainly will look into doing more of that. It
can be particularly useful for reference material, demonstrations, videos,
animations, and the like. We're trying to do away with as much paper as
possible as it is expensive and too easy to misplace.

Keep the ideas coming.

Best regards,

Bob Sweet

Interesting idea...electronic (CD/DVD) textbooks. Less expensive to create,
immensely easier to correct/update, quite versatile. Wife (Gail, Miles
River squadron and D5 webmaster) has taken a number of "online" web
design/creation courses which use this technique. Students can print
chapters as they go, if a "hard copy" is desired.

National, what say you?
