I received the following from a squadron member and I am wondering if others have seen it or have any thoughts.
Pennington Hess, AP
Kingsway Power Squadron
"Hi Penn,
I just got my new USPS Boat Insurance Policy and for some unknown reason, decided to read it cover to cover. The St. Paul Insurance Co., McGriff, Seibels & Williams, Inc (Agent) should be put on notice that the new provision eliminating coverage for insured's towing another vessel which is NOT in "Imminent Danger" is reprehensible and absolutely flies in the face of all that USPS stands for. Safe boating, and assistance for those that require same, are the bedrock foundation of our organization and I am just completely aghast that I can not count on my liability protection if my tow, of its occupants, somehow sustain injury (there is no standard of care, the insured could be negligent or exercise the utmost care and still have no coverage).
Best regards"
