To change an e-mail address you subscribe using the new address.  The next day or so you unsubscribe the old e-mail address.  Sounds simple and I can't see the need for any human intervention.  

If the above instructions do not work for you let me know and I'll do it for you just tell me the new e-mail address and the old one.
