Imagine where we could be, if all theses efforts where directed at promoting
the name we all ready have.
This is certainly one of the path's that will further obscure a members
vision and instead keep people from focusing on Branding, Selling and Promoting
what we already have.
How many people have given thought to the fact that there are many people
who will STOP their promotional efforts, short term (we hope) just waiting to
see where this goes.
Sales don't happen sitting in the office arranging, rearranging, planning,
organizing or hoping. Sales occur out of the safety of the office, out where
you talk to 100 people to get 1 that's viable. Discussions like this really
need to be thought about before being engaged. The impact can and usually is
much farther reaching than one can imagine.
We all know USPS has a name recognition problem, we know USPS has not yet
come up with a simple 1 paragraph letter of introduction to simplify our
external sales and marketing efforts.
Locally, we are now advertising with USPS is America's Boating Club and
closes with Boating if fun, let us show you how. And the effort seem's to paying
off, currently I have 38 students in the squadron (South Shore) spring
boating class's and half stated the Advert is the reason they came to our class.
Changing an organizations Identity is a BAD idea, However, Changing the
packaging is a good idea... Business Management 101
