[Psml] Two VISTA Compatibility issues related to VHF/DSC Seminar - Any Help Out There?

In preparing to present the VHF/DSC Seminar using a new VISTA laptop
we have run into two issues - if anyone has a good lead - step right up 
- as the
Seminar is in 48 hours and counting!  (this Thursday evening).

1 - the student CD with the VHF/DSC simulation - does not load -
it stops with an error during the install - the specific error is below, 
in this message.

2 - the Power Point has sound of actual VHF calls - in slides 27 and 
30.  They do not play with Windows Media Player - but WINAMP works - on 
these .wav files as a satisfactory alternative.    However the PP 2007 
on VISTA will not make a sound.  It 'appears' as if the .wav files are 
indeed  playing - as the slides take several seconds to respond to the 
next 'click' .. but the just don't make a sound.

Mind you,  GOOD PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THIS - and I am sure the 
problem will be solved in the long-term.   (In the short-term I may 
solve it by just not using the Vista machine - but I hate to drop back - 
the Vista laptop is a fine piece of equipment.)

If you have solved these problem or have a good clue - please let me 
know.   If its too technical - lets take it off line and not annoy the 
rest of this PSML Board   (   replies to   fkemp at optonline.net   ).

ERRORS ENCOUNTERED IN LOADING THE VHF SEMINAR CD ONTO A VISTA LAPTOP

This  DLL is on my XP machine, and NOT on the Vista. 
However - if I copied it over to the VISTA - where would I place it?
