Please share with your squadron and take action! Every single special touch
you do makes a difference. SMILE
Most of us are being asked to renew our membership in USPS this month.
Let's go back to the personal touch and see if we can wrangle our friends
back into being active. They originally joined because of the people, now
let's show them that we really are a family.
Establish a committee and call every member in your roster. Invite them to
come to a no-name party. Charge minimally, or have your squadron pitch in a
few bucks or all, if possible. While there, have folks who are computer
savy provide laptops and access the online dues form. Show them how to pay
online. Provide them with a special rewards for renewing - door prizes,
white elephants, even some homemade cinnamon rolls! Have the room setup with
scrapbooks, slide show of squadron activities (especially fun photos) and
course info. Provide a couple of games, if desired, or some other fun
activity. Know someone with an interesting USPS story or "small USPS world"
story start a "remember when" session. If you have some go getters in the
squadron, have them go out ahead of time and talk to some vendors (golf
courses, boat stores, restaurants, retail stores in your area) and go get
some discounts. Then provide everyone who shows up with a "goodie bag" of
coupons and "bonuses" for being a member. Go to the national website -->
Member Benefits site and printout a list of member benefits - or make
coupons for those as well. Even if you feel someone will not remain a
member, try to show them the best time.
This email is broken in two due to size being over the allowable amount on
PSML. So this is continued in another email Membership Renewal Idea - 2 of
