Hi Henry,

Not knowing the particular horn construction I will take a shot at the
possibilities. Electric horns typically use a magnetic coil with a core and
a set of contacts. When the horn is energized it causes the coil to pull the
core in one direction until the contacts "break" when it returns in the
other direction. The core is connected to the horn diaphragm and makes the
horn sound as it vibrates it very rapidly. The most common problem with
these horns has been corroded contacts which prevent the original contact to
energize the horn. The other possibility is that the coil is bad. Depending
on the way the horn is put together you may be able to take it apart to get
at the contacts to clean them up with emery paper or a very fine file. If
you can and it does not solve the problem it is very likely the coil. You
may be able to replace the entire internal guts (coil, diaphragm, core and
contacts) again depending on the construction of the horn. Good luck.

Greetings!
     My electric trumpet horn has ceased working.  I e-mailed the 
manufacturer about a wiring diagram (it is out of warranty) and have 
heard nothing.  Anyone done a repair on such a device?  If so, words 
of wisdom would be welcomed.  I have power to the mechanism that 
activates the sound but no complete circuit.  I really do not want to 
purchase another electric horn.  I have an alternative horn, but the 
"push the button" is my desired choice.
