Bellevue Sail & Power Squadron has
been accepting online registrations for years, and could not survive without it
since we have a fairly large squadron serving a large area. As SEO, I
receive all registrations for all programs, and the chairs of Advanced Grades
& Electives, Public Boating classes, and Seminars each receive the
registrations for their respective programs. It runs very smoothly.

The comment made that if the SEO is unable
to receive registrations, assign that task to someone in the squadron who does
have online accessibility, makes good sense.

Registration

I
think it is a real shame that we allow SEO’s to block on-line
registration.

During
the past two months I have pondered this and I can not think of one good reason
for national to allow this. There are a lot of folks in this world some
like to talk on the phone, some like to write letters, some like to go and meet
others, some write e-mail and some do everything on-line even banking.
Why should we put up barriers to registration I just can not phantom it.

If
an SEO does not have an e-mail address to receive on-line registration
notification he should assign someone that does.

What
do we need to do to break down the barriers to class or seminar registration.

Sincerely
yours
