Don't you think having a "non-renewed sorta" status is ridiculous?  I suggest that the squadron pay the dues and then let the member owe the squadron or the squadron write it off.  YOur choice, but we can't change every little thing.  :-)  We can, but nightmare to maintain as the next Commander won't know or gets sick or whatever.  We just paid the dues.
