[Psml] Aluminum Hose Barb Question

Phil's right.  I microwave a cup of water, stick the hose in it for a couple
of minutes and the recalcitrant hose usually slides right on.  Just be sure
to wash the cup before you use it. Diesel (or gas) adds nothing to the
flavor of coffee.

Hot water might be safer than a hair dryer, which might dry out the 
hose.

Insert large pliers (to fit) into the tubing/hose then
OPEN the handles which will spread the jaws and
the tubing.  It may take some real strength to do
it if your hose/tubing is large and tough.  You can
possibly aid the process by heating up the hose
with a hair dryer.
