[Psml] Merit Mark comments

PSML Friends,
    Last week I posted a question regarding Merit Mark record history. 
Several of you offered suggestions.  Lena Padro at Headquarters responded 
also.  She checked my records and noted that the 2005 Merit Mark was 
missing.  I went back to my 2005 income tax records and went through the 
pages of my day timers.  During that year, I recorded 103 hours with D 15 
and 83 hours with D 13.
THE PROBLEM WAS. . .
    My D 13 Squadron Merit Mark person did not ask me for information.  She 
just put down what she remembered.  The Area Monitor rejected it basically 
because "he was in the D 13 area less than six months, therefore was not 
there long enough to earn a Merit Mark".  I assume that the D 15 Merit Mark 
person did not transmit the work I did in D 15 to the D 13 person.
    I have snail-mailed copies of my 2005 activities to the Merit Mark 
persons in both D 13 and D 15.  Both are very efficient people.  I assume 
that my "problem" will be resolved shortly.
MORAL TO THIS STORY:
    Check with the person being considered for a Merit Mark regarding time 
spent and where it was spent (Squadron, District, and National).  Perhaps 
the time will not be enough if just one area is considered, but the 
combination of all areas will be enough to qualify for a Merit Mark.
