Bill,

The Merit Mark Resources page has just been updated with the 2009 Area
Monitors, 2009 Now Hear This, and the new Merit Mark Criteria document.
There is also a shorter URL which takes you to the same place
http://www.usps.org/newpublic2/doMM.htm .

Cheers,

Dave Hinders

Paul, if you would do a bit of looking at the USPS web site you will find
what you are looking for by going to
http://www.usps.org/x/x.pl/x/x.cgi?../newpublic2/meritmarks.html

On that page there is a link to merit mark criteria which will lead you to a
page that states the 10 VSC inspection requirement.

Per the guidelines there are no required hours in order to get a merit mark.

Some squadrons include hours, some don't. Some Districts require hours be
entered when writing up merit marks, some don't. If you accomplish at least
10 VSC inspections you get a merit mark. Try to find that in the merit mark
guidelines/instructions.
