[Psml] [DB2000_user_group] SailAngle and USPS Mailing Lists

It looks as though, if you do not join 'SailAngle' you won't get any  
more mail. Unless your squadron has a dedicated (in more ways than  
one) person to get the various list-mails from the new group, and  
then religiously forward the applicable info to the correct squadron  
recipients (duplication of effort here), you and/or your squadron  
will be left in the dark.

The 'powers that be' at HQ have decided that the SailAngle group is a  
better, more efficient method of communication. They may be right, I  
don't know. It is a huge effort to keep the lists functioning and  
secure, along with the rest of the website(s) so I can understand why  
they are doing this.
As John Bradley said in his email: "... shortly after the Kansas City  
Governing Board meeting, we will be terminating support for USPS  
mailing lists.  We believe that the group and forum facilities found  
on SailAngle are far superior to the mailing lists we have been  
providing."

Whether I myself sign up, or not, remains to be seen.
