I am one who knows the tremendous contributions the members of what is now
called ITCom have made to USPS. John Bradley, Ken Guscott, Dan Bartell,
Peter Michelson, Kristi Watson, and the great support of HQ computer
operations by members like Robert Baldridge and Dave Hinders. I know I have
left out many who should be included, but the point is that these members
have always, over the years, made our jobs in USPS easier with better tools
and better communications. So, when John says "It's a better way", I
believe.
So, I have now signed up on Sail Angle, uploaded a slightly dated picture
and hope to get the hang of this new thing called Social Networking. I do
notice that there are all of these groups on Sail Angle for USPS members
that correspond to all of the mail lists I am used to (and even some others)
so it seems like things will pretty much go along as usual.
I have also participated recently in the new USPS program called Boat
Operator Certification. I think it is fantastic that we are FINALLY
actually in business of on-the-water training in addition to classroom
instruction. Congratulations to those in USPS who are shepherding this
program along.
Meanwhile, best to all, and if your looking for friends on Sail Angle, I'm
there!
Lance
