Good News!!!
We received a report from the Grand Hyatt on room night reservations and
the numbers look much better than I had expected. Our guarantee is 1550
room nights and currently have reservations for 1256, two months before
the cut off date. All days except Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and
Saturday are over our guarantee. I now feel like we will not have a
problem meeting our contract obligations on rooms.
Reservations have been made starting the Thursday before the
meeting through Thursday after the meeting.
I suggest you tell your R/Cs to make reservations now if they have not
done so. This hotel is able to sell all of their sleeping rooms and
once our block is reached, it may be difficult to get rooms. We are
paying $169 and they can get $500+ for rooms.
