Everyone -
Please review the note below as an FYI. I understand that the Sheraton,
while very apologetic, must relocate some number of USPS members to another
hotel (Radisson) due to room renovation/construction delays that have
created a room shortage in their hotel. As a concession for this
unfortunate but unavoidable relocation, the Sheraton has arranged a reduced
room rate at the Radisson, commercial bus transportation to and from the
Radisson (4 blocks away) and the Marriott (conference hotel) every hour,
each day Wednesday through Saturday. Free parking and a free breakfast
buffet each morning at the Radisson will also be provided to each relocated
person.
Bob Keller (Chair of the National Meetings Committee) is doing his best to
manage through this situation but hopes for broader patience, support, and
understanding. If you have questions that he can respond to, please feel
free to contact him.

Ernie -
You may have already heard from someone else by now, but Wednesday I was
notified by the Director of Sales at the Sheraton in Norfolk that they were
informed by the contractor doing their renovations that three floors of
rooms would not be completed in time for adding them back into their
inventory. End result is that they will not have rooms available for some of
our members having reservations there.
In order to facilitate alternate accommodations the Sheraton is notifying
our members that they are being relocated to the Radisson, which is four
blocks from the Marriott. As compensation they will receive a room rate of
$109, free parking, free shuttle service to the Marriott and free buffet
breakfast each day.
