From dlhboat at frontiernet.net Wed Mar 5 13:58:31 2008 From: dlhboat at frontiernet.net (Dave Hinders) Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2008 10:58:31 -0800 Subject: [Sec-l] FW: [rsps] P/V/C Russ Gray Message-ID: <003601c87ef2$e8515990$9201a8c0@Lap2> FYI From: rsps at yahoogroups.com [mailto:rsps at yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Carolyn & Dave Simons, Crew of the Brass Ring Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2008 6:55 PM To: RSPS Cc: Mack Gordy Subject: [rsps] P/V/C Russ Gray I am very happy to report to the members of this squadron that long-term squadron member, past squadron commander and past national officer Russ Gray has come through his surgery with flying colors. Having said that, let me try to answer the questions I am sure that statement will raise. Russ and his wife, Iris, were in Dallas for the USPS Annual Meeting just as I was. They drove to Dallas rather than flying as I did. On the way back to Raleigh, they had planned to stop and visit Russ's brother in Grand Saline, Texas. He had a medical emergency while enroute which was determined to have been a stroke. The required surgery had to be done in two stages; the first stage was done last Friday and the second stage was done yesterday. Everything has apparently gone well and he left the hospital today. He will recuperate for a few days at his brother's home before heading to Raleigh. I know that I speak for all RSPS members when I say that we are all VERY happy to know that everything went "according to plan" and we look forward to seeing him and Iris at many more RSPS functions to come.
