Hi Captains !
I wanted to make contact and ask for your help. I am assisting the TAKE A KID BOATING FOUNDATION here in St. Pete and we need volunteers badly. That is, people who are willing to handle lines as the boats embark/debark Ft. Desoto and Caladesi Island docks on Saturday, June 2nd.
Basically this is a day for orphans to get a chance to go on a boat ride and have lunch at either of the above two locations. All is done by volunteers and gives the kids a great day out in a family setting.
The state has declared the first Saturday of June as the official TAKE A KID BOATING Day.
Do you know people who can help ? Boat / line handlers, boat owners who would be willing to take a kid for a ride, help with the lunch coordination, help spread the word to others ???
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
