Hello, I actually followed the directions and found the info - you may want to see a part of what goes on at governing board - and it may give you the 'push' to create a scrapbook for us or have someone create a poster!

What an amazing world we now live in, when video and photos can be taken and posted online, in a very short time, for all the world to see. Of course, the X, Y, and I generations know all about this. 

Please go the usps.org web site, open up the first page and click on USPS News on the left column. When you do that a list of events will come up. Click on Read More in the first sections entitled, "USPS Presents Awards in Norfolk."  When you do that screens come up in the following order: 

1) Marketing/Public Relations Award Video. Filmed by Cdr. Bill Smith of Austin Power Squadron.
2) Youth Poster Awards Video. Filmed by Cdr. Bill Smith of Austin Power Squadron.
3) Marketing/Public Relations Award Photos, photographed by P/D/C Lou Loth of Balboa PS.
4) Membership Growth Award Photos, photographed by P/Stf/C Trudy Brown of Bellevue PS.

You can click on the center of the screen and the video will begin. When you reach the photo section you can also see the captions by clicking on the bottom of each photo, and you can also see these photos in full screen version, which can also be printed.  

We all owe a debt to Bill, Lou, and Trudy for covering this event for the Marketing/PR Committee. 
We also appreciate the great work that R/C Dave Hinders did to get this online so quickly. Working with Bill, Lou and Trudy, Dave and the others have proven that USPS is in the 21st Century.  This award section will also be set up on the Mar/PR Web Pages with help from P/C Rosemarie Rodomski, of Redondo Beach PS, where we will credit the coordinators of the various awards and others who made this happen.

As this concept expands--internal awards being presented in advance of the Saturday OCom meeting -- to other committees, and the video and photos are then posted on line, it will provide an even more comprehensive picture of the recognition USPS provides to so many members for doing so much.

These links can also be placed on CDs and kept in everyone's archives for decades to come.

All of us can be proud of our very "professional" team. 

Stf/C Greg Scotten has already written an article on these awards and sent it to Yvonne Hill for publication in THE ENSIGN and Compass. She can download the photos she decides to use.
