She turned 94 last week, was in a nursing home in Wisconsin for a number of years, had a strong heart, elderly mind and a frail body. Her favorite drink was a martini - so - keep Jeff, Dawn and family in your thoughts and prayers and feel free to toast to her happiness, health and enjoyment in her new home. ALSO: Dave and Carol Schraml were members of the St. Petersburg Sail and Power Squadron for a number of years. A few years ago they moved. As members they were active on committees and boating activities. Carol (58) passed away on 11 June after a year long battle with cancer. Those of us who knew her will not forget her quick smile and willingness to help. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 18 June 1600 (4:00 PM) at Sylvan Abbey, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater (off McMullen Booth Rd) 727-796-1992. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made to Hospice Foundation of Florida. The St. Petersburg Sail & Power Squadron accepts donations to the education fund on behalf of loved ones and friends. Class 2 ? 26 to less than 40 feet will go from $50.50 to $78.25. The county of registration is eligible for 32.85. Class 3 ? 40 to less than 65 feet will go from $82.50 to $78.25. The county of registration is eligible for $56.85. Class 4 ? 65 feet to less than 110 feet will go from $98.50 to $152.75. The county of registration is eligible for $68.85. Class 5 ? 110 feet or more will go from $122.50 to $189.75. The country of registration is eligible for $86.85. Dealer registration go from $16.50 to $25.50. There is still an exemption for nonprofits and antique vessels. The fees do not include service fees and some counties require additional fees above and beyond what they get from the state. The current increase adds up to about 55 percent. Fees will be adjusted every five years according to the Consumer Pricing Index. I have heard from a tax collecting agency that boat owners up for renewal in June, July, August or September can save a few dollars and pay the old registration fee by renewing before July 1.
