Ft DeSoto Park

 

Come take a kayak trip, relax at the beach, ride a bicycle on the bicycle
path, check out the historic fort or fish off the pier

 and then enjoy a FABULOUS COOK OUT at 1200 for only $6 per person!!!

 

 


 

If you have never kayaked before, this is a perfect place to enjoy your
first experience in the mangrove-protected backwaters of Ft DeSoto Park.  A
special discount rate on single or double kayaks or canoes has been
negotiated for our SPSPS group at the Kayak Rental Outpost.  If you plan to
kayak, please arrive no later than 1000 as the trail takes about an hour or
so to do depending on your skill.  If you have your own kayak or canoe, you
can certainly bring it.  

If kayaking isn't your thing, there are also bicycles of various types (1,
2, 4 person options) available for rent by the gift store next to the Fort
if you don't want to bring your own.  

 

SHELTER #12 has been reserved for SPSPS for the day.  The shelter is located
right across the road from the Kayak Outpost and is also close to the
fishing pier.

The COOKOUT will take place at 1200 SHARP and will include hamburgers,
chicken, hot dogs, baked beans, all the fixin's, sodas and water.

 

Cost is $6 per person-just sign up by April 26th so we can buy all the grub!
