Dear Friends.    

    Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.   I am home from the hospital but the news was not what we hoped for.  My cancer has spread and the surgeon could not remove it all.  It seems that it has penetrated beyond the lymph nodes and has migrated to other areas.  
    We go in for more tests and consultation on Wed. Nov. 4 and more extensive surgery has been scheduled for the first week of December.
    Your continued thoughts on my behalf will be deeply appreciated.
